The patented ESOX^b pump is a significant innovation in long-term continuous infusions. Implantable pumps are not new. The metal bellows implantable pump for humans was developed twenty years ago by the same team that developed the ESOX^b pump. While other implantable pumps cost several thousands of dollars, the ESOX^b pumps are very affordable. And the ESOX^b pump is refillable percutaneously, unlike the Alzet pump. Infection and stress are minimized. The absence of any external appartatus will allow the animal to roam totally free in its cage. And no externalized components means less risk of contamination and infection. Less stress, less infection, healthier animals, better data.

Pegasus^b Pump (Two types: Vario & Light)

The Pegasus^b Pump is a very small and light micro-piston with maximal precision. It contains sophisticated programming, memory, and alarms. Other pumps are two or three times the size and weight of the Pegasus^b. By replacing your older ambulatory pumps with the Pegasus^b, you can reduce stress to animals by lessening the load they carry. Additionally, the Pegasus^b will allow you to perform ambulatory studies on animals which are too small to carry the larger, heavier pumps (animals such as 2-3 kg non-human primates). Connect the Pegasus^b to the Circadian Interface and with the "Pegedit" software communicate to your PC via the parallel port. With the included "Pegedit" software you can create, store, review, and load various infusion protocols.
