Rodent Surgical Tables (RS-1)This innovative operating table has been specifically designed for small animal surgery. The Access operating table is manufactured from a thick high performance acrylic resin and natural minerials. The working surface is 8" x 11", non-porous and has grooves radiating from a central well for drainage or placement of the flushing line during surgery. A large central well facilitates ventral surface surgery after implantation of the vascular access port in the dorsal surace. A right angled Huber point flushing line enables flushing of the catheter and monitoring of the catheter patency during surgery. The four adjustable surgical rubber restraining straps and numerous hold-down slots along the perimeter of the table, allow for the accomodating of various sizes of animals. Vascular OccludersAccess Technologies can supply you with Vascular Occludersf. The applications of occluders include:
Occluders are constructed of soft biocompatible silicone rubber. They are individually packaged sterile with a compression sleeve. Being sized according to the lumen diameter, occluders are available with lumen diameters ranging from 2mm to 24mm. The catalog numbers are "OC-" followed by the lumen diameter. The occluder response is very rapid and can be maintained for several hours, as long as the occluder is pressurized. When the occluder is attached to a V-A-Pf, the system is totally subcutaneous. So if you want to reduce exit site infection, reduce catheter mutilation and obtain a totally closed subcutaneous system, then the occluder/port system is the way to go!
